Day 15: Laredo - Nuevalos, 437 km.

Today I've driven the absolutely best tarmac roads of my life. Intertwined with some quite boring transports. Someone in Spain sure knows how to make straight roads...
Goal for the day was to cross the Pyrenees and get as far south towards Alicante as possible. Achieved that, but still could not avoid a slight feeling of disappointment when I opened the map, just to realise I'm only half way there.
Still,  the Pyrenees and other mountain roads more than make up for that! I'd go as far as to say the roads are right out dangerous. The sights are so lovely I find it hard from time to time to concentrate on driving along these serpentines. A cliff towering above and nothingness below. It was like driving through the floating mountains of Pandora (from the film Avatar).
Hopefully,  tomorrow brings more of these lovely sights, as I start out for the last leg before seeing mum and dad.
Entering the Pyrenees

On top of Spain, sort of at least

Clouds rolling in

Hard to concentrate here...

A well earned meal for Trüdl
