The Rider - Yogan

48 years of age and an avid bike rider since many years. I took my license when I was 18 and have been riding ever since.
Mostly 500-650cc cafe racer and off-road bikes, although I must admit to a one season stint on a 1600cc Vulcan as well. Scariest experience ever, to ride with your feet sticking forward. I felt totally out of control, sold the bike and reverted back to a more upright riding position. Nowadays I always stick to rides where I can stand on the pegs.

I also have a background in exploring nature and travelling in general. Back country hiking, off shore sailing, skiing, rock climbing and just travelling has been sort of a staple diet all my life.

Another skill which comes very handy is having a thorough experience as a hobby mechanic, having renovated from scratch both a Land Rover series IIA and a number of bikes (including engine overhaul, electrics, drive train etc).

When not doing all of that I try to make a living as IT/telecoms project manager and project management consultant. I have a feeling though, as the years go by, my profession gets more and more into leadership and less of the techies stuff.

Combining all of this you get a rather competent and experienced guy who enjoys both the ups and downs of being on and off the road. Well the ups anyway. The downs tend to take a while more to appreciate...
